When I want a cookie recipe, thousands can be found online. But which one is the best? Which is the easiest? Which one includes ingredients that are already in my pantry? And which one isn't going to make me scroll through a ton of text just to get to the recipe?
Rather than offering a few new recipes, this post is going to review a few of my favorites. Hopefully, they'll become your favorites too!
The Best Sugar Cookie Recipe
We've tried many sugar cookie recipes, but they never seem to work out. In Katrina's Kitchen touts this recipe as the "best sugar cookie recipe EVER" and we have to agree!
While you can use the Jump to Recipe button at the top, this is one post I recommend scrolling through because she answers FAQs about butter, sticky/dry dough, chilling the dough (even though you don't have to chill this recipe), how to make them gluten-free, and many other questions.
In Katrina's Kitchen skips all the fluff you normally see on recipe pages, and she does a great job at providing content that's actually helpful.
Soft and Thick Snickerdoodles
Here's another no-chill recipe, but we're visiting Sally's Baking Recipes this time. Again, I've tried several Snickerdoodle recipes, but this one is the best, and with 3,095 saves, others agree! These cookies are easy to make, thick, and stay soft in my cookie jar for several days.
Sally's includes variations on the recipe if you want to try different seasonal favorites.
This is another page where you can jump to the recipe, but you'd be missing out on photos and key tips for making these cookies.
